Her knowledge and expertise in working with the Himalayan Singing Bowls and Tibetan sacred instruments originates within the ancient shamanic religion of the Bon; the Bonpo being affirmed masters of sound through anthropology and Himalayan tradition. She has a deep understanding of the traditional techniques and uses for chanting, meditation, physical and emotional healing and the creation of sacred space.

ABOUT MY WORK

Phyllis Douglass My given birth name is Phyllis but my true incarnate name is Amaraene, so I answer to both. I have pursued extensive study in the fields of Sound Medicine, Music Therapy, Dowsing, and energy healing modalities which are complimentary to traditional western medicine and non-traditional systems. Integrated Arts of Sound and Body works with and receives referrals from medical professionals in private settings, hospitals, hospice facilities and nursing homes.

My favorite concept is, "Inner physician heal thyself." With the stress of outside stimulus and challenges that we all face on physical, emotional and spiritual levels, we are often not able to get to that place of least resistance on our own. Transformation occurs when we can become a witness instead of a victim to the issues and challenges that we face.

The ability of the physical body to entrain allows energy to shift in a way that can positively affect our minds as well as our physiology. The key is to alter your energetic state into the deeper Alpha and Theta brain waves, allowing a door to open or creating a space where change can occur.

My spiritual studies led to an acute awareness that the energetic body more closely represents the immensity and intricacy of an individual's true self than the 3-dimensional physical body. A culmination of Spirit, Mind, and Body and the ability to embody a true understanding of who you are, why you are here, and how to fulfill your destiny.

Healing is a return to balance, which is sometimes equated with a medical cure, but the concept of healing is actually much broader than that. Healing may not always encompass a physical cure, but is the process of positive, empowering, and progressive reconciliation and transformation in a person's relationship to his reality, condition, history and circumstance, inclusive of any diseases. A healing can be physical, emotional, or spiritual, and refer to a positive change in the impact of 'dis-ease' in a person's life experience. In fact, instead of the word Healing I prefer Transformation.
